Join our team as a Front Desk Engineer at JCI, where we lead the way in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings. In this role, you'll be pivotal in supporting our clients' needs while contributing to innovative solutions within a collaborative environment.
What you will do:
- Act as the first point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and technical support.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues, coordinating with engineering teams to resolve technical queries promptly.
- Manage documentation and communication effectively, ensuring that all client interactions are logged and followed up.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and client satisfaction.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance your knowledge of our products and services.
- Serve as Technical Advisor to the Engineering and Sales Team
- Lead engineering and solutions in the pre-sales phase, delivering compelling end-to-end solutions.
- Identify risks and plan mitigation actions.
- Build artifacts and present/demonstrate to customers in coordination with Sales.
- Provide demo and workshop support of OpenBlue products when needed
- Provide consultation for high value/complex projects
- Support the sales team in product and service qualification, analysis, and presentation.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Mentor the pre-sales team on OpenBlue Products and solutioning
- Coordinate with Cost Competitive Centers to optimize efficiencies.
- Measure and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide Quality Control and review solution applications and cost estimates with the sales team for mid to high level
- Assist the sales team in articulating technical value propositions and presenting solutions to clients.
- Reinforce methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting solutions, designs, scopes, and cost estimates.
- Identify specification issues, interpret discrepancies, and propose resolutions.
- Stay updated on market trends and transitions.
- Work closely with direct manager on creating processes, tools, and efficiencies to support JCI sellers
- Provide Data Analysis on Cost Competitive team and OpenBlue Sales, then create plans on how to act on the data to better create efficiencies and fill gaps
- Work as Front Desk Engineer ensuring cases in Sales Force are routed to the correct engineer and opens a Sales Force case for the FDE when Opportunity meets requirement for early engagement of FDE
What we look for:
- A degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in customer-facing roles, ideally within the engineering or technology sectors.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Fluency in English.
- Sound knowledge of systems and equipment with proficiency in solution innovation to create a clear differentiator through solutions.
- Strong understanding of Johnson Controls products across Building Industry segments.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, communication and presentation skills with ability to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Strong leadership, with demonstrated ability to mentor and coach pre-sales engineering teams.
- Understanding of regulations, certifications and industry standards.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in matrixed environment.
