Front Desk Representative

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is seeking a Front Desk Representative to join our team. Must be a dependable and motivated team player who is professional, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced medical environment. This person would be scheduled to work in our West Yarmouth , Sandwich and Falmouth offices- Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities: 

• The role of a Front Desk Representative is to deliver excellent patient care service by demonstrating enthusiasm and a calm demeanor in a busy office environment.
•  Must ensure efficient and positive interactions with patients and co-workers.
•  Works collaboratively as a member of the team to achieve the goal of providing outstanding patient service.
•  Specific duties include all check-in and check-out functions, ensuring accurate demographic and financial information for each patient encounter, the collection of patient co-payments and past due balances, scheduling, and communicating with patients.
• Perform all other related tasks which would facilitate the flow of patients through the practice, or which would enhance the quality of service to patients.
•  Maintain confidentiality and privacy consistent with HIPAA guidelines.
• Other Clerical duties as assigned such as Medical Records.

Ideal Candidate:

• A High School Degree or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical or health care related setting or equivalent in a customer service, front desk/receptionist position.
• Must have a working knowledge of computer and respect for confidentiality. OCB is an equal opportunity employer.

• Epic experience a plus
