Front Desk Representative

Boston Eye Surgery & Laser Center located in Waltham is currently searching for a Front Desk Representative who is outgoing, friendly, and upbeat! The Schedule is Monday-Friday 6:30AM-3PM or 8:30am-5:00pm as needed and you may be needed periodically to fill in at the Boston location as well.

This person will be greeting our patients and checking them in/out in a courteous, timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Scheduling patient appointments and testing. 
• Problem Solving and schedule optimization.
• Obtaining and verifying patient insurance, recording, and processing patient demographics.
• Working knowledge of most insurance carriers.
• Collecting patient payments, posting payments, reconciling payments, and preparing deposits, providing an accurate accounting of funds.
• Reviewing billing to ensure that appropriate procedures have been designated by the provider.
• Ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Epic experience a plus, but not required.
• Related job duties as required.

Requirements:

• High School Degree or GED
• Covid Vaccine (including booster); must provide Vaccination card prior to start 
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Work experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• MUST be able to work in both Boston and Waltham as needed
