Job Description

This position handles inbound calls and front‑desk duties for a medical practice. Responsibilities include answering calls, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance and demographic information, documenting interactions, assisting with forms and maintaining a smooth patient flow. Staff must ensure HIPAA compliance and provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities Include • Answering telephone calls and greeting patients and visitors; providing information and assistance. • Scheduling and confirming appointments; optimizing provider time and treatment room utilization. • Verifying insurance eligibility and patient demographics; collecting copayments and updating accounts. • Documenting calls, messages and appointment details accurately in the EHR. • Assisting patients with paperwork, referrals and pre‑authorizations. • Maintaining a tidy and welcoming reception area and upholding confidentiality policies. Ideal Qualifications • High‑school diploma or equivalent; experience in a medical office or call center preferred. • Proficiency with phone systems, scheduling software and electronic health records. • Strong communication, multitasking and problem‑solving skills. • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
