Join our dynamic medical practice team dedicated to providing excellent patient care! We are a busy and growing practice with a focus on creating a supportive and efficient environment for both our patients and staff. We are currently looking for a Front Desk/Switchboard Operator to join our team.

Position Overview:

The Switchboard Operator will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for handling phone calls and processing incoming faxes. This individual will play a key role in ensuring smooth communication within the practice. Additionally, the Switchboard Operator will be cross-trained to assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Process and distribute incoming faxes accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments.
• Provide information to callers and route messages to appropriate staff members.
• Cross-train to assist with patient check-in and check-out, ensuring smooth and friendly patient flow.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information following HIPAA guidelines.
• Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the practice.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle a multi-line phone system.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a medical office is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with basic office equipment (fax machines, scanners, etc.).
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
