Front-End Developer

Introduction
A Front-End Developer is responsible for developing new user-facing features determining the structure
and design of web pages building reusable codes optimizing page loading times and using a variety of
markup languages to create the web pages and ensure that the application is optimized both in technology
and aesthetics while delivering the best user experience. IBM Data & AI Development team is looking for
enthusiastic and talented Front-End developers to join us. Our services belong to IBM Knowledge catalog
product portfolio. Our services are tightly integrated with IBM Cloud Pak for Data where customers can
access a suite of leading data and AI capabilities in a unified experience.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Knowledge catalog team in IBM’s Kraków Software Lab is part of a dynamic organization which
implements holistic data management solutions used by many large customers around the world. Today we
look for an experienced UI developer to work with us.
Basically you will work with designers to translate visual designs into functional code. You will be responsible
for developing user experiences tune and improve their performance work closely with UX and content
design teams co-shape the application architecture and adopt new front-end technologies to solve
technical challenges in innovative ways. You will work within a team of talented individuals brainstorm learn
from others and help them. As a seasoned software professional you will be part of a broader community of
UI developers and will provide technical guidance to other team members based on your experience. You

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 3 years of commercial experience in JavaScript front-end development
Working knowledge of React.js ecosystem including Redux Router React Hooks function components
Experience in web applications’ performance tuning and optimization
Strong awareness of UI code quality security and maintainability aspects
Tooling: Webpack Jest linters Jenkins Travis SonarQube
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Having a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
UI test automation skills – Selenium and/or Puppeteer
Understanding and basic experience with Kubernetes
Experience working with customers and/or customer facing teams
