We are looking for a Front End Developer to work collaboratively with a team dedicated to the modernization of legacy mainframe systems to an AWS cloud-based system. Demonstrated experience in deploying applications on AWS is required. Candidate with be part of the Analysis and Design team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Uses expertise to design, develop, code, test, and debug user interfaces and web application components
- Works with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives with an emphasis on human centered design
- Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
- Reviews and evaluates systems and software for adherence to government directives, standards, guidelines.
- Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and correct defects.
- Evaluate code to ensure it is valid, meets industry standards and is compatible with devices or operation systems.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience delivering software in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience in using the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence)
- Solid hands on knowledge and experience in design and development using JavaScript, EXT JS, JSON, jQuery, REACT, Node.js, and Sass
- Excellent knowledge of responsive website development
- Strong knowledge on build (Ant/Maven), continuous integration (Jenkins), code quality analysis (SonarQube) and unit and integration testing (JUnit)
- Ability to design and develop using appropriate software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability
- Experience in API development a plus
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training/experience required.
- 2 to 4 years of UI experience required.
Must be located within the US.
This is a salaried role. Oddball does offer tech, and a continuing education stipend.
This role may be required to obtain a low level government clearance.
