The Role

As a Front End Engineer within the Data Science & Technology group, you’ll think beyond the ordinary and help innovate new products and services that our clients and their customers will use and love every day.

In this role, you will spearhead front end development for Fantasy’s new software development discipline and create proof of concept products used to augment our clients ability to serve their customers needs. With the support of the Research and Insights team, you will manage a development pipeline that will serve world-class organizations in the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

You will advise and collaborate with the best minds at the world’s most forward-thinking companies, including the likes of Netflix, Nike, Spotify, Asana, Tesla, Microsoft, Dolby, Ancestry, Salesforce, and others. You’ll work across diverse industries and varying form factors, including automotive, luxury, travel, operating systems, website ecosystems, voice recognition software, artificial intelligence, and more.

Responsibilties

• Develop and maintain front-ends for AI-based web application proof-of-concepts using standard front end frameworks such as React, Node, or Angular.
• Work closely with our UX and design teams to translate visual concepts into functional online experiences, with extremely close attention to detail.
• Regularly communicate with internal partners and key client stakeholders to understand goals and translate them into technical requirements and working prototypes.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain detailed documentation for all projects for future reference and team collaboration.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.
• Have good client facing skills, having the ability to participate in and create compelling live demos for Fantasy’s most important clients

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years experience in developing web applications or interactive sites, preferably using React, Node, or Angular.
• Experience in UX design, design systems, and collaboration with design teams.
• Working knowledge of modern web technologies, for example WASM, WebGPU, or canvas rendering.
• Strong understanding of architecture and design patterns relevant to web and mobile apps.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Working understanding of security best-practices for web & mobile app development.
• Familiarity with accessibility design best practices.
• Ability to perform independently in a remote-first work environment.
• Past experience with generative AI models and large language models is a plus.
