THE OPPORTUNITY: Front End Shopify Developer
Birdy Grey is looking for ahighly skilled Front End Shopify Developer to architect and build user-facing web development projects and lead our Tech team. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with various tools, partners, and vendors. Must have a strong understanding of JavaScript programming and development patterns and the ability to leverage JavaScript frameworks to build CMS-based web applications and 3rd party integrations. You'll work to improve usability for our customers and optimize web design on Shopify for maximum speed.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop responsive, high performance, reliable websites and occasional JavaScript modules Optimize existing user interface designs based on market trends
• Build, validate and maintain web page templates from supplied wireframe layouts
• Configure technology solutions to challenges facing the ecommerce and operations teams
• QA new features and updates
• Work with design team to implement new site features to pixel-perfect specifications
• Utilize HTML / CSS / JavaScript to troubleshoot and edit issues and updates to sites through the production lifecycle
• Support and implement best practices for layouts, navigation, architecture and site speed
• Test usability of new and existing website features using a variety of viewport sizes
• Assist with requests during internal and external audits, including providing invoice copies
• Assist with other accounting functions and special projects, as requested, or needed

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-4 years of Front End Development experience (Javascript & Node)
• 2 years of experience with Shopify and Liquid
• 3+ years of HTML and CSS
• Experience with vanilla javascript and Shopify 2.0
• Familiarity with Microservices and APIs
• Ability to work in CMS environments (Shopify, Wordpress, Hippo, Bloomreach, Adobe, or Demandware / Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus)
• Experience in e-commerce, DTC, or fashion and apparel
• Excellent skill in using a variety of computer applications and systems, including G-suite
• Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated mastery of multi-tasking, and the ability to adapt to change quickly
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Analytical and have a keen eye for details
• Great problem-solving skills and work well in a team
