We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Front-end Software Developer supporting Digital Health Surgical Engineering Team in Ft. Worth, TX, you will help design and build the next generation of healthcare digital platform. This position offers the opportunity to work across the full stack for several web services and have a significant impact on multiple healthcare platforms and products.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Collaborate with product and design teams to develop the overall look and design of websites.
• Write website code using HTML, CSS, React, and Java
• Enhance user experience by incorporating applications, graphics, audio, and video.
• Ensure cross-platform accessibility and perform routine testing for quality, and fix website issues and bugs.
• Create architectural diagrams, specifications, and proof-of concept solutions.
• Participate in design and requirement reviews, review code, and promote best practices.
• Develop high-performance cloud solutions and manage work priorities with partners.
• Write technical documentation and communicate design proposals.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
• 5 Years of Relevant Experience
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
