Front-End Software Developer (Mid-Level)

Idea Entity, a Microsoft Gold Partner, is a global change management consulting firm committed to delivering customer outcomes that change the way business is done. We are looking for an experienced Front-End Software Developer (mid-level) who will assume a key role on our team. This role has responsibility for understanding our platform that enables organizations to digitally transform their business processes through portals, dashboards, and workflows.

The ideal candidate is an avid communicator and life-long learner, who is eager to contribute to the team's success. Each project may represent a new set of challenges that will provide the right candidate exposure to new clients, new business issues, as well as will involve a range of responsibilities.

This role will be operating on a hybrid schedule with two (2) telework days a week out of our San Antonio office.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work collaboratively with developers, engineers, and other cross functional teams to ensure that designs are successfully created and implemented.
• Participate in full life cycle software development tasks to define, design, develop, test, deploy, and support software.
• Active and open communication with managers, project teams, and the engineering team to support project completion.
• Bring creative and innovative thinking to each project.
• Maintain code integrity, quality, and organization at all times and document all required artifacts.
• Ability to manage project priorities and deadlines to meet deliverables on time.
• Proactively identify issues and bugs and provide solutions to mitigate and resolve these issues.
• Train and mentor other team members on React and other front-end technologies and provide guidance as needed.
• Follow disciplined development methods.

Requirements

• At least three to five years (3-5) of experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, React.js and REST API.
• Strong understanding of client-side scripting and experience with design, debugging and problem-solving using JavaScript.
• Expertise with React UI framework.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Experience with Web performance optimization methods.
• Understanding of User Interface Design and the Design Process.
• Excellent time-management and multi-tasking capabilities.
• Ability to juggling multiple projects and related complexities at the same time.
• Interest in mentoring junior team members and providing guidance when needed.
• Must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment.
• Developing best-in-class consumer experiences (user interface designs, interaction models, prototypes, etc.) in a fast-paced, agile, start-up-like environment
• Should be self-driven with basic guidance and should be interested in learning other coding languages as needed.

Desired, but not required:

• BA/BS in related discipline (computer science, etc.) preferred, demonstrated skills and experience will take precedence over education.
• Good eye for aesthetics: layout, grid systems, color theory and typography.
• Prior experience developing software using disciplined analysis, design, development, and test methods.
• Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile development, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries.
• Experience in designing and building web services, SQL Databases, and cloud-based architectures.
• Working experience with consuming PnPjs APIs and developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Prior working experience with C#.NET, Angular, and TypeScript.
• Experience with developing custom client scripts for SharePoint.
• Experience building PWA apps and with cloud-based services (Azure, AWS, etc.).
• MCTS or MCPD certifications.
