Job Description

Allegro's development teams consist of more than 1700 IT specialists of various specialties, who develop our service. The unique scale and complexity of the problems we solve every day give us the opportunity to develop in a wide variety of projects. In Allegro we create mobile applications, we build tools for listing, presenting and searching offers, we develop elements related to the purchasing process, payments, billing and commissions, or sending and tracking shipments. As Allegro Retail, we are responsible for developing an entirely new solution for the platform - Store in Store.

About the team

• Store in Store is about bringing new content tools for enhancing shopping experience for the largest Allegro merchants and brands - e.g. Apple, Nike.
• This project will bring together colleagues from the Czech Republic and Poland, so close-cooperation and team-play will be necessary for this green field project.
• The team consists of 50/50 Back-end and Front-end Engineers who work on delivering a merchant-facing platform and its new features, while simultaneously refining the solutions implemented already.

We are looking for people who

• Have a very good knowledge of JavaScript and one of its frameworks, preferably React
• Are proficient in responsive web design (HTML, CSS)
• Know and have worked in production environments with TypeScript
• Have experience with unit testing (we use Jest) and E2E testing (Cypress)
• Think outside the box and have a broad perspective on their work
• Want to be proud of the code they write. Are open to feedback and are willing to share their knowledge during code reviews
• Can search for efficient solutions to meet users’ requirements
• Are eager to continuously develop their skills and update their knowledge
• Know English and Czech language at B2 level minimum
