About This Role - Frontend Engineer

Genesis Trading is seeking a talented Frontend Engineer with experience building and deploying web interfaces for low-latency trading platforms, preferably in digital currency or foreign exchange markets. The Frontend Engineer will focus on creating modern and highly performant interfaces for trading workflows and market data visualization. Flexibility to develop cross framework is preferred, particularly in React, Angular, or Vue. UI design experience and knowledge of trading and capital markets are a plus.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain trading platform interfaces in JavaScript
• Develop and integrate automated unit tests for software developed
• Review and recommend architectural improvements
• Participate in design sessions with development team
• Troubleshoot production impacting issues providing timely solutions

Requirements

• B.S. degree in computer science or related area (M.S. degree preferred)
• 3+ years development experience in digital currencies, FX, or other capital markets environment
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/ES6 - Typescript a plus
• Strong knowledge of a modern frontend framework such as react.js, angular.js, vue.js
• Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SCSS, Sass, or Less
• Experience with Rest APIs
• Experience with web sockets
• Experience with version control such as Git
• Experience with SPAs and webpack
• Experience with scripting languages
• Experience with SDLC processes
