Frontend Engineer, Desks

The Spaces team owns the systems that power several of Envoy’s products and developer-facing APIs. Spaces products create great experiences for employees and workplace administrators by applying modern design and engineering to often overlooked areas. Our frontend engineers work closely with our product and design team to create beautiful interfaces, and iterate to create great experiences for our customers. As a Frontend engineer on Desks, you will own the scheduling and mapping client that allow coworkers to plan their work days, reserve spaces, and view their office. A successful engineer in this role feels pride in their work, likes learning new technologies and practices, collaborates well with others, and is constantly looking to improve systems while pushing our product forward. 

Spaces products strive to create a seamless and technology-forward work experience that enables employees to do their best work, together. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to achieve this goal.

This is not a remote position. The ideal candidate will need to be onsite & able to participate in hybrid work.

• Work on the Envoy Dashboard, which is an Ember.js application for interacting with your Envoy account as an administrator or visitor.
• Own the scheduling client and mapping interface on the dashboard
• Work with the Product and Design team to build new features.
• Collaborate with our Backend and Mobile teams to ensure universal compatibility.
• Use external services whenever they make sense; we don’t need to build everything in-house!
• Triage bugs and ship stable, high quality code to which you are proud to be a contributor.
• Deliver excellent software through comprehensive peer-reviews, CI, and automated testing.
• Constantly push your team forward by promoting healthy collaboration.

• You have experience with Ruby on Rails
• You have experience with GraphQL.

• You’re comfortable writing modular code which you’d release and maintain as open-source on behalf of Envoy.
