Frontend Engineer, Mid- Senior

Octave’s mission is to create a new standard for mental healthcare delivery, one that is accessible to more people and sustainable for providers. We are broadening access to high quality mental health services that are measurement-based and insurance funded. Now more than ever, we are looking to serve communities dealing with the rising public health challenge of addressing mental health needs. Octave is VC-backed and was founded in 2018 with footprints in New York and California, as well as virtually nationwide. We are expanding our beautiful practices throughout New York and California, offering telehealth and also clinic-based services.

Octave is looking for a senior frontend engineer (3 or more years of experience) to help us develop the systems and tools needed to support clients seeking care, providers offering care, and the operational team and infrastructure infrastructure to support the two. We are a small but growing team who work remotely, using Next.js, React, TypeScript, GraphQL and CSS to bring everything together.

• Strong experience in developing and deploying with React
• Expert level CSS knowledge and experience
• Strong experience with modern web technologies (such as JSON, HTTP2, WebSockets,  HTML, JavaScript and TypeScript)
• Experience consuming modern APIs. 
• A preference for writing quality code with automated testing and leaving the code base better than how you found it
• Experience with continuously delivery and troubleshooting production code
• Comfortable communicating with engineers, clinical, and operations staff to solve open-ended problems
• Interest in doing mission-oriented work especially in the healthcare space
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or anytime in the future

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience working with healthcare, healthcare technology, and clinical staff, or other regulated industries.

Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future. 

The salary range for this role is $140,000-$185,000 annually.
