Frontend Engineer (React/JS/Typescript) - Forecasting & Planning (all genders)

THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As a Frontend Engineer, you will be delivering a direct impact to more than 50 million Zalando customers in 25 countries and growing. You will be building systems that will solve major customer challenges around inspiration & entertainment in fashion & lifestyle e-commerce and build systems to take customer experience to the next level.
In Forecasting & Planning we support authors to deliver fresh and relevant experiences for Zalando's end customers. Authors will be equipped to brainstorm and plan their content strategies, and align them with global and local business goals. We facilitate the forecasting of content volume and content performance, but also the detection and visualisation of trends.

• You will be part of a team that builds customer facing experiences as well as internal tools.

• Communicate with product managers and designers to understand the business context, and translate the requirements into technical solutions.

• Establish trust beyond the team and collaborate with other internal product and technology teams to build scalable systems which integrate into the larger context of Zalando

• Continuously improve the performance of our systems, and your skill set as a software engineer and share knowledge with your colleagues.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• You consistently demonstrate an entrepreneurial, analytical, and customer-centric approach, and you have an insatiable desire to improve the experience for our customers.

• You have experience in different parts of the software development life cycle: building, testing, deploying, and operating in production.

• You are proficient in Typescript, Javascript, React, CSS. Experience with GraphQL is a plus.

• You have experience in developing applications with NodeJS.

• You are not only experienced with integrating APIs but have understanding of REST architecture.

• You have hands-on experience in improving front-end performance and observability. Experience working with front-end monitoring/logging tools like Sentry is a plus. You have an affinity for the reliability, monitoring, scalability, and performance of the app.

• You communicate effectively in English and are comfortable collaborating with different product, design, and engineering teams.
