This position is remote and based around East Coast working hours. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role. 

The Front-end Software Developer role will assist in scaling up the Data Manager development team (frontend). This will help us deliver on our goals up to the end of the year. Data Manager’s front end is being completely redesigned to a modern web UI, and we are going to continue moving large, complex features from the current DM client into the DM Website.

Your impact:

• Work closely with the development team and stakeholders to build out custom solutions to support the growing needs of the organization.
• Develop high quality code that adheres to best practices in design, proper testing, and good documentation.
• Work with project managers or product owners to understand or define system requirements.
• Fulfill stakeholders’ needs and ensure they are satisfied with the end result.
• Other related duties as assigned.

About you:

• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript/React
• 1+ years of experience using React Hooks
• Experience integrating with RESTful API back-end systems
• Strong knowledge/understanding of agile development methodologies (SCRUM a plus)
• Experience working with relational databases (MySQL preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• BA/BS in a technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Experience in mobile web development
  • Experience in food industry
