The Media Systems team supports the tools and systems that help power the 3rd most trafficked site in the United States. Yahoo is a global media and tech company that connects people to their passions. We are looking for a talented front-end intern to support our Media Systems team. We are a diverse team distributed across the globe.
Expectations

• You will participate in implementing software solutions to meet product and engineering project requirements.
• You will participate in daily standups and weekly sprint planning meetings with engineering staff.
• You will be providing critical feedback and constructive criticism while participating in code reviews.
• You will have the opportunity to offer innovative solutions to potential problems within the code and processes.

Technologies you will learn about

• ECMAScript (JavaScript), HTML, and CSS.
• Modern React, React Hooks, and state management patterns.
• Git, Github, and related technologies.
• TypeScript and Webpack (Create-React-App).
• Experience using CI/CD
• Working with cross-functional teams
• Using JIRA ticketing software and Scrum
• Adherence to Agile Methodologies

The compensation for this position ranges from $45,760.00 - $135,200.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about.
