About the team
At HubSpot the Reach & Reputation group is responsible for building great products to help social media marketers and advertisers grow their businesses. Our product enables social media marketers and advertisers to build meaningful campaigns engage with audiences and draw insights across multiple social media networks.
On the Social teams our mission is to help businesses grow their social media reach and presence by planning and delivering the best content to their audiences. We also empower businesses to connect with their audiences through actionable social insights fostering personalized & meaningful engagement.
These teams primarily focus on building the Social post composition experience enabling users to easily schedule across multiple networks and manage their content calendars. They also build the Social Inbox which helps HubSpot users easily manage and respond to their customer’s comments and interactions as well as gain insights on trends and brand sentiment from keywords and mentions.
We are looking for a Frontend Technical Lead who not only loves solving for the customer and making robust product experiences. At HubSpot Tech Leads are the heart of our engineering team. This role is a hybrid one where the individual is expected to demonstrate strong individual contributor skills along with technical leadership product leadership and team leadership.
As a Technical lead you will:

Write and ship production code that has meaningful user and business impact

Envision build and analyze new features and tools each contributing to company growth and revenue

Collaborate with their PM Designer and other TLs in the organization to define and share relevant compelling and challenging goals for their team.

Work proactively to solve reliability issues on the team
-
Work with your PM and Designer to inspire and motivate the team.

Actively cultivate Software Engineers into Sr. Software Engineers and Sr. Software Engineers into future TLs and Staff Engineers etc.

Set a high standard for reliability without slowing teams down
What we are looking for:

Previous frontend Senior Software Engineer with a modern JavaScript framework such as React

A strong focus on the user. You can gain empathy for the challenges of Social Media Marketers and understand how they may flow through our product.

You not only get excited about big technical challenges but also about being very close to the business and our go-to-market strategies

You work well in small teams with full ownership over their app

Cash compensation range: 195600-293400 USD Annually This resource will help guide how we recommend thinking about the range you see. Learn more about HubSpot’s compensation philosophy . The cash compensation above includes base salary on-target commission for employees in eligible roles and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate including their skills experience qualifications and other job-related reasons.
