Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities & Major Range/Test Facilities in DoD. Conditions of Employment
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driverβs license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a Forklift Operator License.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain proper licensing (CDL A, B, OR C if required) as well as government operator permit with HAZMAT certification if required.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position may be coded as βkeyβ and as such you may be required be removed from military recall status. A signed statement of understanding is required.
- This position requires the ability to climb, stoop, lift, pull, and withstand heavy exertion; have good vision in both eyes correctable to 20/20; work requires close visual attention and normal color vision
- This position requires the ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- You will be required to wear personal protective clothing such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, high visibility clothing, etc.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible.
The Screen-out Element for the WG-04 is: the ability to do the work of a Fuel Distribution Systems Operator demonstrated through experience, working under close supervision, performing simple tasks, including manual labor, and following directions to develop your skills through a training program.

If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
You will be required to complete the Competency Based Certification (CBC) program for Fuel Distribution Systems Worker (WG-5413-04), including completion of a 40-hour HAZWOPER course and Navy training courses related to operation of cranes, boats and skimmers, and barges.
This position requires working outside and will occasionally be exposed to all weather conditions.
This position requires driving in all types of traffic and weather is exposed to the possibility of serious injury. The occupational hazards are those directly involved in handling or transporting fuels on station or on commercial highways, in cities, and in restricted areas such as narrow piers and secondary roads. Work may be dirty, dusty, and/or greasy.
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
