Full ELK Stack Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Full ELK Stack Engineer to support our federal client.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead in the analysis of client/user needs and perform end-to-end low level design, development, maintenance, administration, and delivery of ELK/Java solutions.
- Install, configure, maintain, and tune ELK stack cluster in an enterprise environment.
- Lead and participate in the deployment approach and configuration of the ELK platform.
- Creating, designing, maintaining, and implementing Kibana dashboards
- Collaborate with technical teams.
- Work on projects using Agile methodologies; use Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Jira to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in ELK stack components (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, and Logstash)
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript (and frameworks), Python.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with web application development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js), as well as backend technologies (e.g., Spring, Django).
- Strong knowledge of database concepts and SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated expertise in building scalable and high-performance software systems.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Jira.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex systems and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and lead in a team environment.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality software projects on time and within scope.
- Years Experience: 5+ years
- Agile/Scrum certification required.
- Prefer knowledge of and experience with Python/Perl, Bash, and Linux.
- Prefer AWS certification.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
