Overview of the role: 

Interested in working on cutting edge SaaS technology and helping to keep food on grocery shelves? As a Full Stack Developer on Upshop’s engineering team, you will serve in one of many cross-functional agile teams in a high-performing, globally distributed organization. You’ll have an opportunity to work with other architects, developers, and Product Owners to build highly performant and reliable web and mobile apps for retail grocery store associates and corporate users. Ideal candidates for this role have experience coding in C# and Angular and are available for a hybrid opportunity in the Austin or Tampa area.

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with clients and/or internal teams to understand user needs; drafts initial proposal and design of software to meet these needs. 
• Assess feasibility of design and project parameters within time and cost constraints. 
• Analyze user needs and designs software for client use. 
• Develop code and designs software applications based on user specifications. 
• Modify existing software to correct errors or improve performance. 
• Gather and evaluates user feedback and then modifies software for better usability. 
• Design databases for specific application areas. 
• Collaborate with product, QA, and customer success teams to design systems to support required applications. 
• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience coding in C# and using Angular. 
• Strong object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) skills.
• Experience with designing and building NoSQL data solutions. 
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
• Ability to learn new coding languages and technologies. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in grocery, food retail, or similar industries.
• Microsoft Azure experience is a plus.
• Serverless development experience is a plus.
