Full Stack Developer - Client Services

As an OnSite Business Unit Full Stack Developer, you'll work embedded on our clients' team and play an important role in leading the development of products and software used by the masses. In this role, you will primarily write reliable, maintainable software. You're excited to adapt to new technologies and discoveries, and incorporate those into ongoing work. You will work together with your teammates to build, review, and learn from each other's code, to estimate features, to support each other's technical and team-based growth, and to fulfill development commitments to launch software projects and help scale the project globally.

Responsibilities

• Work with other engineers, developers, architects, QA, system engineers and project managers in solving client technical challenges
• Understand requirements, implement solutions, provide administration tools and documentation for specific projects
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Follow and enhance existing development processes
• Provide accurate estimates, regular feedback, and meet project deadlines

Requirements

• 3+ years of Backend experience in Java/Kotlin
• 3+ years of Frontend experience in Angular or React
• Develop new features and functionality while also looking for ways to improve existing code base
• Design thoughtful, efficient, scalable solutions
• Understand requirements, implement solutions, provide administration tools and documentation for specific project
• Provide accurate estimates, regular feedback, and meet project deadlines
• Experience with Test Driven Development or other testing practices
• Willingness to take ownership of projects end to end, managing broad scope and ambiguity, and collaborating with fellow team members
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model in the Metro Detroit area up to 2 days per week
• Detroit Labs is not currently able to hire candidates who will reside outside of the United States during their term of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure
• Experience mentoring other engineers
