Your Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer for Data Platforms in Enterprise Data Organization located in Chicago or Moline, Illinois, you would...

• Design, develop and deliver Solutions for search, discovery and consumption of Data Products across the Enterprise, to enhance and improve Data Discoverability for Analytics purposes while ensuring adherence to Data Quality and Governance standards.
• Develop, configure, test and implement Data Platform capabilities and solutions for Data Discovery and Management to enable Analytics Insights generation
• Evaluate and Implement Enhancements to existing functionality while ensuring the Quality and Performance of Software Product Deliverables
• Documents and Trains Users on the functionality of implemented Solutions in the Data Platforms area
• Good Team Player & Collaborates with Stakeholders and Users to ensure that Data Platform Features meet Business Needs
• Design and implement Engineering best practices including DevOps and Security considerations

What Skills You Need

• Experience in Data/Applications development environment, databases, and Cloud infrastructure capabilities and constraints
• Experience in API Development (specifically Rest APIs using Java, Spring boot) and Test-driven development
• Knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, RDS, ECS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, etc.
• Experience in developing Front End (Web) applications (using Technologies like ReactJS, Angular JS, etc.)
• Knowledge & Exposure to DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

What Makes You Stand Out

• AWS certification or demonstrated working experience / knowledge in AWS cloud Technologies
• Agile Scrum certifications or demonstrated knowledge of Agile Scrum practices
• High Learning Agility with a Growth mindset (Ability to thrive in uncertain situations)
• Certifications in Programming Languages like Python, Java
• Ability to communicate technical solutions in an easy-to-understand manner within Team and with Users/Customers

Education

• Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
  Bachelor's or higher degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience in a related career field
