What you should bring with you (skills/experience)

• Work with Systems Engineers to ensure that data is effectively received, processed, and postured.
• Work with Data Scientists to ensure that data quality and confidence meet standards sufficient for effective data utilization.
• Work with intelligence professionals to build and deliver a premier suite of analytics capabilities.
• A passion for the design, development, documentation, testing, and fielding of applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• The ability to collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems.
• A genuine desire to support intelligence professionals in identifying and developing against user needs of the highest priority.
• Creativity, curiosity, and an appreciation for data science.

What you must have

15 years relevant experience with Bachelors Degree or 13 years relevant experience with Masters Degree.
Proficiency in two or more of the following programming languages: C#, Java, .NET, Python, Perl, Ruby, or similar

• Familiarity with operating systems including: UNIX, Linux, Windows, etc.
• Machine learning, data mining, and knowledge discovery
• Analytic algorithm design and implementation
• ETL processes; including document parsing techniques
• Using or designing RESTful APls, SOAP, XML
• Developing large cloud software projects, preferably in Java, Python, or C++
• Java/J2EE, multithreaded and concurrency systems
• Multi-threaded, big data, distributive cloud architectures and frameworks including Hadoop, MapReduce, Cloudera, Hive, Spark, Elasticsearch, etc. for the purposes of conducting analytic algorithm design and implementation
• NoSQL database such as Neo4J, Titan, Mongo, Cassandra, and hBase
• AWS Services (EC2, Network, ELB, S3/EBS, etc.)
• Experience with or desire to be part of a team involved with processing and managing large data sets (multi-TB scale strongly desired, multi-PB scale is a huge bonus)
• Web services environment and technologies such as JSON, XML, KML, and SOAP
• Proficiency in troubleshooting in very complex distributed environments including following stack traces back to code and identifying a root cause
• Data transfer systems such NiFi
• Current Agile methods
• Management/tracking utilities such as GitLab/GitHub, Jira, Redmine, or similar

Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

• Running internet facing or Service Level Agreement (SLA'd) auto-deployed environments
• Real-time media protocols (Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP), Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP))
• Text processing: NPL, NER, entity retrieval (e.g. Solr/Lucene), topic extraction, summarization, clustering, etc.

Having previously provided direct support to:

• Special Operations Forces or comparable operational element.
• Intelligence professionals.
