Full Stack Developer (Frontend/Backend), Solution Engineer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Able to contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Capable of comprehending and analyzing a problem or set of requirements, proficiently assessing various solution options, propose and present the optimal solution design.
- Possess a creative mindset to develop innovative solutions and new possibilities.
- Knowledge and experience in prototyping and solution design are important. The candidate should be able to create proof-of-concepts, prototypes, models, and design technical solutions to meet specific requirements.
- Expertise and ability to write good software code across a range of common languages (such as Java, C++, Python, .NET, SQL, etc.). The diversity of languages required with be driven by our customer's preferred technical stack, with an emphasis on open-source frameworks.
- Expertise in creation of front-end UI using common frameworks (React, Angular, js) and APIs.
- Experience in data and analytics of structured and unstructured data, including visualizations.
- Ability to use TechFlow development and implementation methodology and standards, in support of client projects.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
- Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and produce releases of software components.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
- Solve problems, advise, influence, and guide technical solutions for customer engagements.
- Utilize specialized knowledge of web application development to enhance functionality, supportability, scalability and/or extensibility of customer solutions.
- Participate in SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban for Agile delivery models.
- Deploys and configures applications and services using cloud capability (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack).
- Demonstrated adaptability, open to learning new tools, approaches, and methods.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in web application development
- Development experience with building applications using frameworks such as React/AngularJS and/or Node.js.
- Experience working with APIs, JSON data provided by RESTful services.
- Ability to utilize existing design and user experience assets to build a front-end application.
- Programming fluency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.
- Must have eligibility to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with grid-based layout frameworks and responsive design
- Exposure to back-end technologies and languages, such as Java, J2EE, JBoss, Hibernate, Spring, Log4j, RESTEasy, Oracle, and NoSQL databases
- Ability to create and consume REST and SOAP services
- Past experience working in a government contracting environment
- Relevant cloud and development certifications are preferred
