The Team
In our IT area, which includes Payments Products and Cash, at ING Checkout, we are responsible for getting e-commerce transactions paid for the business (merchant) clients. While providing seamless payment solutions for the merchant we also work on the contract lifecycle and collaboration with the external solution provider.

Key Responsibilities:
- As a member of the ING Checkout team, you will contribute towards the product's design and build.
- Align with the Squad master and Chapter lead in scoping the work for the team, and drive TECH QBR within the squad.
- Next to this, you are ready to take the Tech lead role for the squad and mentor the junior engineers in the squad.

- You love technology and naturally stay up to date on relevant new developments.
- Code quality matters for you and writing good code excites you.
- You believe in Test Driven Development, write good integration tests, and unit tests, and love to have good coverage.
- Great knowledge of Back-End development in Java / Kotlin and solid foundation for J2EE frameworks like Spring.
- Working knowledge on designing and building Rest-JSON APIs, SOA, and Event Driven Design(s).
- Experience with Git, Maven, Azure DevOps, and NodeJS.
- Experience with Front-End development in Web Components, LitHtml / LitElement, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
- Extensive knowledge of relational databases (Oracle) and SQL.
- Hands-on knowledge of message broker(s) and event bus(es) like Apache Kafka.
- Knowledge of Performance Testing with one of the frameworks like nGrinder, Gatling, and Apache Jmeter.
- Experience with Monitoring Tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
