Full Stack Engineer II

We’re looking for an ambitious candidate to contribute value in a dynamic, client-centered environment and join DSPolitical’s Engineering team. As a Full Stack Engineer II, you will build new features for and maintain existing features of the DSPolitical Platform while working to develop new product offerings and enhance existing offerings.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Develop new product offerings and enhance existing products across the DSPolitical ecosystem including user interface code and back-end APIs.
• Participates in the Quality Assurance process including writing automated tests. 
• Provide front-line support for internal product owners.
• Work with more-senior team members to expand skill-set. 
• Provide mentorship to more-junior team members.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience in web application development. 
• Strong commitment to mentorship and collaboration.
• Experience in at least one backend language such as PHP, Python, or Node. Strong candidates will be considered regardless of language background.
• Experience in at least one SQL dialect, preferably MySQL.
• Experience in JavaScript with modern reactive frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular.
• Due to legal requirements of campaign ads, US work authorization is required.

Office Hours

This position is remote friendly. We work on a hybrid basis at our office locations with many team members working entirely from home. Work hours are consistently 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday, with the expectation that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary.
