About the Team: As a member of our team, you'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing communication solutions across various platforms within Vonage. This year, we're embarking on an exciting journey by integrating WhatsApp as a communication channel into our platform, a significant stride towards providing a comprehensive and unified solution for our applications. Additionally, our team plays a pivotal role in shaping the Chat UI of the new Chat API product that is integral across our company. Comprised of early career, dynamic full-stack developers, our team is not just about work; we're a tight-knit community that thrives on collaboration, creativity, and camaraderie.

What You Will Do: As a Java Engineer at Vonage, you'll dive into end-to-end projects in a full-stack capacity, tailored to your skills and career aspirations. Your role will encompass designing, researching, developing, and testing functional and non-functional aspects of our projects. We're constantly pushing the boundaries by designing and implementing new projects while ensuring scalability to support large volumes of data and traffic, maintaining backward and upward compatibility, and much more.

Main Tech Stack:

• Java (of course!)
• Vue.js, Node.js, Nest.js, TypeScript
• AWS, Kubernetes (K8S), MongoDB
• Additional technologies: Postgresql, Redis

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on Java and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Proficiency in modern web frameworks such as Vue.js, AngularJS, or React
• Extensive experience with backend technologies including Node.js, AWS, Kubernetes, Postgresql, and Redis
• Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based applications, with a focus on scalability, loose coupling, and maintainability
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deploying applications
• Ability to lead end-to-end projects, collaborating with team members globally
