Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level SharePoint and Azure Apps Developer to join our team. You'll have an opportunity to join a team delivering a Fortune 50 Corporate Intranet on the SharePoint platform.

We are relaunching our Company intranet for a global 120k+ user base on SharePoint and looking to fill this critical role to develop new and modifying existing customizations, in SharePoint and Azure. Responsible for the planning and designing new software and web applications. Analyzes, tests and assists with the integration of new applications. Documents all development activity. Assists with training non-technical personnel. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own subject area. Usually figures out own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint solutions and Azure applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in SharePoint development, along with experience in Azure cloud technologies.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and customize SharePoint applications, including web parts, workflows, and forms, using SharePoint Designer, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and other related tools.
  • Design and implement solutions using Azure services, such as Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure App Service, and Azure Storage.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and end-users to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and propose technical solutions.
  • Create technical designs and documentation for SharePoint and Azure solutions, ensuring consistency to best practices and architectural guidelines.
  • Perform coding, debugging, and testing of SharePoint and Azure applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Integrate SharePoint solutions with other enterprise systems, such as CRM, ERP, and third-party applications, using APIs and custom connectors.
  • Monitor and optimize SharePoint and Azure applications for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by end-users, providing timely and effective support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in SharePoint and Azure technologies, and evaluate their potential application to improve existing systems.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of SharePoint and Azure solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in SharePoint development, including SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server, and SharePoint Designer.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint customization techniques, including web parts, workflows, event receivers, and content types.
  • Experience in developing Azure applications using services like Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Service, and Storage.
  • Experience in managing automation and configurations with Powershell and PowerApps.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Understanding of SharePoint and Azure security models, authentication mechanisms, and integration with Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint migration tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as MCSD: App Builder or MCSE: SharePoint, are a plus.
