Full Stack Engineer Summer 2023 Internship

Beacon Platform’s Front Office Suite provides a wide array of applications, market models, and cross asset pricing and risk analytics built atop core Beacon Platform services. Your job will be to build, improve, and extend the Glint UI framework used to develop applications that make use of these services as part of a collaborative project with one of our financial developers. You will also write and improve documentation, lead internal and external presentations, and provide training on your developments to other Beacon developers and clients. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop functionality for Beacon Platform’s UI framework: Glint.
• Collaborate with members of the Glint team to determine project specifications and validate assumptions.
• Own a project’s development from start to finish, including a summer’s end company-wide presentation
• Write internal and client facing documentation

Requirements:

• Strong Python knowledge
• Strong JavaScript knowledge, specifically ReactJS
• A Degree or active pursuance of a degree in a relevant STEM field

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Redux.
• Experience writing unit tests.
• Experience with and interest in financial markets and pricing/risk analytics.

Working in Beacon you will experience a fast-moving work environment, collaborate with a diverse and tightly knit development team and contribute directly to our live production software.

Salary Range: $20 - $30 per hour
