Rotunda is seeking an experienced Full Stack JavaScript Developer to help create a new generation of software tools for non-profits. Our flagship products are actively used by over 3,500 non-profits and one million volunteers. The person who fills this position will contribute to these robust, well-established products while also architecting brand new tools to help non-profits make the world a better place. Our proprietary, is built using open source tools developed at Rotunda in conjunction with James Halliday (a.k.a @substack), and our sophisticated backend infrastructure is built with technologies that include Node.js, Express, MySQL, and AWS Lambda, and . The individual who fills this position will be able to learn, leverage, and curate these unique and powerful tools.

Responsibilities

• Participate in three week, self-regulated development sprints
• Learn and leverage our specialized frontend and backend frameworks
• Implement elegant, intricate, and responsive user experiences using JavaScript
• Write well structured, polished HTML and SCSS for pages and components
• Help design, develop, and test backend application logic using Node.js
• Carefully track action items to maintain the efficiency of the team

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of working experience with JavaScript, HTML & CSS
• Experience with Node.js, Express, relational databases, and AWS
• Advanced Proficiency in English
• A love for simple, elegant solutions to complex problems
• Attention to detail and a love for polished user experiences
