Full Stack Web Developer- 100% VIRTUAL!

We are looking for a Full-Stack developer to design and implement technology solutions utilizing Cloud capabilities in a high-performing, product-focused, agile environment. As a key contributor, you will have the opportunity to innovate, influence and build the best-in-class platform for the retiree population to shop for their health insurance plans. You will be building scalable and sustainable solutions leveraging best engineering practices while broadening your skills and helping others in the team grow along with you.

You will be working closely with a highly capable team of engineers, technical analysts, product owners, and business team members to:

• Perform as a key contributor in an agile team, performing sprints on new and existing applications
• Create compelling, highly functional applications for our internal and external users
• Explore ways to continuously improve how we build and deploy applications in a dynamic work environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify risks, dependencies, and issues and provide acceptable alternatives
• Contribute to architecture and code design, estimates, code reviews, and documentation to ensure top-quality software
• Develop prototypes and Proofs of Concept to keep up with new web technologies, languages, standards, practices
• Work with support teams to identify performance and scalability bottlenecks in production

Ideal experience for this role:

• 4+ years of web development experience with .NET, C#, MVC, and SQL Server
• Strong skills with proficiency in front-end development using HTML3, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, Bootstrap, TypeScript, and SASS to build responsive layout patterns that are cross-browser compatible
• Experience working with JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Knockout, jQuery, etc.
• Working knowledge of popular data interchange formats like JSON and XML
• Prior experience building websites in web content management systems like Kentico or similar platforms will be a huge plus
• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Ability to use and manage GIT repositories
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and Design patterns

Nice to haves but not required:

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development
• Work experience with .Net Core, AWS, or Azure Cloud solutions
• Experience integrating web applications with a CRM platform, preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Prior experience building applications in the health insurance domain
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer science, IT, or any related technical field.

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate's experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis.
