Department Summary:

MITRE's Software Development department is seeking a Developer with experience in full stack web development. We're a team of passionate developers creating a wide range of web applications to assist MITRE's work. We love to explore new technologies all the time and stay on the leading edge. This position within MITRE's internal software applications development group will maintain a strong focus on full stack web development integrating with the strength of our MuleSoft and Denodo capabilities and will include opportunities to develop in other areas such as AI and machine learning.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Full Stack Developer will be a key developer on a wide variety of enterprise web applications including MITRE's global intranet, the core information delivery systems used by over 10,000 employees worldwide. You will help implement new features and architect and develop new applications. You will be part of an agile team focused on enterprise and will collaborate across the organization to apply your skills to assist external-facing efforts.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A passion for developing and deploying cutting edge web applications.
• Experience developing and deploying enterprise applications into production.
• A curious mind and a lean-forward attitude on innovations in the software and web development spaces

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with frontend JavaScript development - Vue.js, React.js
• Experience with backend JavaScript development - NodeJS, Express
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• 6 months experience (co-ops/internships included) with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, Cookies, etc.)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar field; or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest or experience in AI and machine learning
• Experience with Python
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases - (MSSQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with Linux, Webpack, Docker
• Interest in cloud services and API gateways such as MuleSoft and Denodo
