Fullstack Software Engineer

We are building an AI system for analysts and scientists, based on a fundamentally new approach to reasoning and knowledge representation. We go beyond state-of-the-art LLMs by combining algorithms in symbolic ways, to provide novel capabilities like performing multi-step analysis, displaying a verifiable reasoning path, and assessing uncertainty. We envision applications supporting and automating analysis and research in domains such as Finance, Strategy Consulting, Engineering, Material Sciences, and more.

We’re looking for strong full-stack engineers to build and deliver end-to-end solutions, making our system production ready. You’ll contribute to development across the backend (Julia, TypeScript) and frontend (TypeScript+React) of our application. 

We are researching and developing entirely new kinds of interactive interfaces for analysts to collect, map out, synthesise, and report on their discoveries. You can gain insight into cutting edge research in Bayesian statistics, dynamical systems, information theory, category theory, and work with experts in each of these areas. Our team works fully remotely, and mostly within the CET timezone.

Useful experience

• Working with users or product managers to architect and deliver smooth end-to-end solutions
• Building infrastructure (AWS, GCP) required for new features with Terraform
• Familiarity with important infrastructure components: databases (Postgres, Redis), networking, auth
• Julia, TypeScript, or usage of some more functional or typed languages, e.g. Rust, OCaml, Clojure, C++, or Haskell
• Building dynamic user interfaces (React, Vue, Svelte, NextJS) 
• Data visualisation experience (D3.js)
• Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics advanced degree

• Commit to delivering defined features or fixes end-to-end
• Define implementation strategies
• Leverage the expertise of other team members effectively
• Write design documents for more complex problems
• Write clean and performant code
• Help other team members to deliver on their goals
