Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Functional Analyst with a minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in IT projects, Portfolio Management, and conducting requirements analysis. The successful candidate will provide guidance and direction for specific sub-tasks of a project and develop new or improve techniques and procedures related to system development and operation. This role involves interfacing with clients daily, interpreting requirements, performing highly complex analyses, and resolving complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in IT projects, working with Portfolio Management to conduct requirements analysis.
- Provide guidance and direction for specific sub-tasks of a project, ensuring successful completion within estimated time frames and budget constraints.
- Develop new or improve techniques and procedures related to system development, operation, and management.
- Conduct systems analysis and design, network services, database planning and design, conversion and implementation support, project management, and data/records management.
- Interpret strategic requirements and provide guidance on strategic issues.
- Perform highly complex analyses to resolve complex problems and improve project outcomes.
- Interface with clients daily to understand their needs and provide project updates.
- Support the completion of project-specific tasks, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in IT projects, Portfolio Management, and conducting requirements analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction for specific sub-tasks of a project.
- Experience in developing new or improving techniques and procedures related to systems and operations.
- Strong background in systems analysis and design, network services, database planning and design, and project management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform highly complex analyses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
- DoD Cyberspace work role: Technical Support Specialist (411); proficiency level: Intermediate IAW DoDM 8140 series.
Preferred Skills:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Familiarity with DoD and military environments is a plus.
- Experience in resources and facilities management, conversion and implementation support, and data/records management.
