Functional Consultant for Financial Management (AF)
Job Description
FreeBalance is seeking candidates to work on a project on contract in Costa Rica as a Functional Consultant for Financial Management (AF).
Main Responsibilities
- Implement and deploy FreeBalance solutions using the company’s ISO 9001:2015 certified implementation methodology.
- Manage customer expectations while advocating FreeBalance values and best practices.
- Conduct in-depth business requirements reviews with customers and prepare detailed storyboards for approval and sign-off.
- Configure and showcase FreeBalance software to effectively demonstrate the alignment between business processes and the solution.
- Develop and execute acceptance test plans, leading client acceptance testing of the configured FreeBalance software/system.
- Create comprehensive training materials and deliver product and user training sessions, including ‘Train the Trainer’ programs, tailored to client needs.
- Transfer expertise to clients in project management, change management, and the effective use of FreeBalance solutions.
- Oversee daily project operations, managing scope, schedules, tasks, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
- Apply effective leadership skills to guide projects from initiation through to successful completion.
- Provide valuable feedback to product management on functional aspects and future product enhancements based on client input.
- Regularly report progress on all assigned tasks and deliverables to the Project Manager.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and team to meet all project milestones on time and within budget.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Administration, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field, with extensive experience in financial management.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience implementing ERP software, with a deep understanding of its functionalities and capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of public sector budgeting, accounting processes, and procedures, including familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven expertise in the implementation and deployment of software applications, with a strong focus on gathering and documenting requirements for software development and implementation projects.
- Prior experience in the configuration of financial systems, including customization and optimization of system functionalities to meet specific business needs.
- A successful track record of collaborating with clients, building positive and lasting relationships, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet project deadlines efficiently.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential, with strong communication skills in both spoken and written forms. Fluency in additional languages is considered an advantage.
