Fund Accountant

What you will do

This role supports the Fund Controllers and broader Fund Accounting team with day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.

Essential Functions

• Book transactions, including cash, accruals, and investment activities within the Fund Accounting system.
• Prepare investor capital call and distribution notices.
• Address and resolve Audit/Tax requests from our external third party Audit/Tax firm.
• Support the Fund Controllers in preparation of the quarterly financial statements.
• Prepare and/or review fee calculations including but not limited to management fees, professional fees, and carried interest allocations.
• Understand Fund Partnership Agreements and ensure Funds and Financials are compliant with agreements.
• Other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field.

Experience: 2 or more years of Accounting experience.
Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office, emphasis on Excel.
• Knowledge of US GAAP Accounting
• Self starter
• Team player yet works well independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working experience within the investment industry, public accounting or fund administration (PE, VC, Hedge Fund).
• Experience with Allvue/Alta Return
• Strong organizational skills with attention to deadlines.
• Tolerance for ambiguity
• Experience working remotely

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

New York: $90,000 - $100,000
