Fund Associate

The Fund Associate is responsible for ensuring all trades and accounting are executed within the expected SLAs per department standards. This role adds value by ensuring trades are processed completely & accurately and accounts are reconciled daily for the Retirement Services (RS) and Individual Life & Financial Services (ILFS) blocks of business. The Fund Associate also provides internal stakeholders with reporting to make informed business decisions. Works with external business partners related to accuracy and trade execution. This person acts as a SME for the daily ops team and is a point of contact for internal/external stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support daily balancing of trades
• Prepare, reconcile, and verify a series of weekly/monthly balancing reports
• Research and resolve accounting and other out of balances
• Complete daily uploading/processing of files within the recordkeeping system
• Escalate issues to management/designated on call associate
• Maintain documentation and procedures around assigned responsibilities
• Make phone calls to mutual fund companies to establish new accounts, provide large trade notifications, or obtain other information as assigned
• Process nightly shift, delayed trades, suspense & weekly accounts

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• A.S. or B.S Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field strongly preferred.
• Advanced mutual funds, investments, and annuity knowledge
• General Accounting knowledge
• Critical problem-solving skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office suite knowledge and works well with data
• Adaptability and openness to diverse perspectives
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Interpersonal communication skills (written and oral)
• Forward thinking, willingness to continually learn and knowledge share
• Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Salary Band: 02B

As a condition of employment, OneAmerica requires that all new hires who receive a job offer on or after April 18, 2022 provide evidence of full or partial vaccination against COVID-19 within three days of accepting an offer letter with OneAmerica and before employment begins. This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in San Diego, CA.The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
