Our Fund Associate is responsible for ensuring all trades and accounting are executed within the expected SLAs per department standards. The role adds value by ensuring trades are processed completely & accurately and accounts are reconciled daily for the Retirement Services and ILFS blocks of business. This position also provides internal stakeholders with reporting to make informed business decisions and works with external business partners related to accuracy and trade execution. As a Fund Associate, you'll have a full understanding of beginning to end processes. This person acts as a SME for the daily ops team and is a point of contact for internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Training and onboarding new associates
  • Research and resolution of complex issues
  • Financial reporting / audit support
  • Support daily balancing of trades
  • Monitor daily trade operations
  • Prepare, reconcile, and verify a series of weekly/monthly balancing reports
  • Research and resolve accounting and other out of balances
  • Responsible for daily uploading/processing of files within recordkeeping system
  • Escalate issues to management/designated on call associate
  • Maintain documentation and procedures around assigned responsibilities
  • Make phone calls to mutual fund companies to establish new accounts, provide large trade notifications, or obtain other information as assigned

EducationalRequirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree orany combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
  • One or more years of relevant experience (but we'll consider fresh grad's)
  • Fellow, Life Management Institute or equivalent
  • Retirement Plan Fundamentals

Salary Band: 02B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in San Diego, CA. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
