Job Description

Roark is building out a scalable finance infrastructure to support continued growth. We are seeking a Fund Finance Associate that would report to the Fund Finance Senior Manager. The Fund Finance Associate will be a member of the fund accounting team, assisting in the reporting and operations related to Roark managed private equity funds. The Fund Finance Associate will be expected to play an active role on day-to-day operations and projects.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for the operations of a subset of Funds.
  • Prepare capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, allocations, and investor notices
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules
  • Assist with the preparation of investor capital account statements and various ad hoc reports
  • Maintain investor database
  • Assist year-end audit process in collaboration with auditors
  • Ensure investor queries are responded to within a timely basis

Requirements

Desired Education Credentials and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or relevant field
  • 1-3 years of prior accounting experience - Big 4 / Public Accounting preferred
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Experience with partnership accounting a plus
  • Experience in Investran a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines; the candidate should be a self-starter that handles complexity well and identifies potential solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
