Funding and Liquidity Manager
Job Description
SUMMARY: Supports all functions in Corporate Treasury, with a focus on liquidity management and reporting, cash management, deposit pricing/analytics, wholesale funding, and collateral management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
- Support the management of the Bank's ~$28 billion deposit portfolio.
- Coordinate the reporting of Bank's overall deposit balances, costs and trends to Executive management on an ongoing basis.
- Assist in establishing deposit pricing and support Senior and Executive management with supporting analysis related to the deposit portfolio.
- Manage exception pricing requests on an as needed basis.
- Support the management of the Bank's $9 billion Wholesale Funding Portfolio which consists of FHLB Bank advances, brokered deposits, repo and fed funds lines.
- Monitor and optimize the Bank's loan and investment security collateral
- Support the ongoing management and measurement of the Bank's liquidity to include daily cash management, reporting liquidity KRIs, liquidity stress testing and management of the Bank's contingency funding plan.
- Support the Bank's Funds Transfer Pricing efforts
- Work with the Balance Sheet Manager to support the Bank's efforts in the areas of forecasting and IRR management.
- Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
- Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
- Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or similar field required. Advanced degree such as MS, PhD, MBA and/or CFA preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 7-9 years of relevant experience required
- Experience working with large and complex data sets Experience in the banking industry with an emphasis on liquidity, balance sheet management, interest rate risk, and funds transfer pricing preferred
- Knowledge of brokerage and money market sweep products, reciprocal deposit networks, and subscription and redemption funds preferred
- Experience trading interest rate derivatives preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must have excellent analytical skills to perform financial analyses across a variety of business units and products and in-depth understanding of fixed-income analytics, accounting theory, economic conditions and complex financial instruments.
