Funding Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary responsibility of the Funder is to ensure that loans are reviewed and funded in accordance with all investor and company guidelines

 WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Required Skills/Abilities:

• MS Excel experience
• Must be very detail oriented, organized and able to meet deadlines
• An ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is essential in this role
• Must be able to clearly articulate ideas both verbally and in writing.
• Exemplary interpersonal skills and a high degree of customer focus are critical for this position
• Self-motivation, initiative, and an ability to work effectively with little supervision

Education, Licenses, Certifications and Experience:

• High school diploma
• 3+ years of previous funding experience

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer with multiple interruptions
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Frequently exposed to noise and a regular flow of people when in the office
• Frequently assigned to changing priorities

 WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Perform a complete review and audit of the loan file including both legal/ financial documentation
• Review information in the title commitment, appraisal, and purchase agreement
• Review executed loan package for accuracy of signatures, notarizations, etc...
• Index executed loan package into Byte
• Follow up with various departments to address any outstanding conditions prior to funding
• Ensure that all information is accurate prior to funding/ Complete QC Checklist/ Review PTF Conditions
• Monitor and track all funding documentation to ensure that all necessary paperwork has been completed and received
• Prepare outgoing wires to title companies to meet disbursement deadline
• Collaborate with title for any missing documentation or appointments of purchase transactions for review
• EOM push to ensure that all loans able to be funded prior to month end have been completed
• Review FEMA site for national disasters on property address
• Complete VOE for all borrowers within 3 days of funding date of loan
• End of day email/ updates to Team Lead/ Manager for any outstanding loan issues
