Funds - Associate Director (NY)

Position Title: Associate Director

Key Job Responsibilities:

• The Associate Director within the Funds department will work on assigning ratings to a range of debt instruments within the funds sectors, including the rating of fund finance obligations rated notes used to invest in private funds, collateralized fund obligations, and other debt instruments with credit exposure to the performance of funds
• Leading the credit review and analytical process which will include an analysis of transaction structure, forecasted performance, cash flow analysis, and a review of the transaction/sponsor manager’s capabilities.
• Performing credit research related to the private capital / funds sectors.
• Participating in the development and further enhancements of related methodologies; and attending due diligence meetings with clients, meetings with investors, and related industry conferences and events. 
• Telecommuting permitted within a normal commuting distance of NY office.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related field plus 2 years of work experience as a credit analyst or in a credit-related role, including roles in alternate credit-related capital market functions.
• Prior experience must include:
  • 2 years of experience utilizing quantitative skills for financial modeling and cash flow analysis
  • 2 years of experience writing detailed research reports, whether in an analytical function or research-related role;
  • 2 years of experience presenting research and analysis to senior members of a committee as well as communicating and meeting with C-Suite level staff;
  • 2 years of experience actively participating in due diligence conversations with issuers, and effectively presenting analysis and recommendations
  • 2 years of professional experience working in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and related Microsoft Office products. 
• Only little domestic and international travel required for this position.

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 to $180,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
