The Consumer Banking Services is a new team within American Express and was created to help guide American Express's expansion into new consumer digital banking products and services that are relevant to our customers' needs beyond the card.
Our Consumer Banking team seeks to expand the concept of Card membership through a relevant, curated set of financial services products that deliver differentiated value. As a new, growing team, we want colleagues who enjoy building from the ground up, work well in a flat organization and like to roll up their sleeves to accomplish common goals.

Where are these roles located within American Express?
You could be recruited for a role to serve as a key member in several of our working groups. Some of the teams that we are currently hiring for include:
Membership Strategy & Operations - The Membership Strategy Team is responsible for strengthening and evolving the Consumer Banking value proposition, positioning, and marketing platform. This team provides an opportunity to work on high impact projects and launch products that are tied to senior leadership's most pressing business objectives.
Digital Product - The Digital Product team is responsible for launching and managing internally built as well as partner sourced products and services that support the team's vision. The ideal candidate for this team will help define product features, shape the customer experience, and evolve the product backlog primarily for American Express Saving's products.
Deposits - Our Deposits team plays a critical part in our organization as its responsible for managing interest rates on checking, savings and CD products owned by the Consumer Banking Group. This role combines customer and portfolio analysis, competitive insights, and macroenvironmental and monetary policy trends to inform pricing strategies, as well as playing a key role in supporting inputs to the deposit product roadmap.

- Proficiency in analytical and presentation tools, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Define the digital product roadmap, new features, scope and prioritize the backlog
- Partner with engineering, design, and user research to define user stories, user experience, and conduct user testing
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to launch digital products and features, handling in-market digital products post-launch
- Develop positive relationships with essential team members including Servicing, Product Development, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, and Technology
- Maintain pulse on external digital product development trends, marketplace dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform continuous product evolution
- Experience with consumer banking products
- Experience working with external partners /strategic partnerships
- Retail banking knowledge/experience
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
