About Global General Procurement (G2P)
Applied Materials Global General Procurement (G2P) is a Global support organization that enables the purchasing of the indirect goods, services, and contingent workforce required for Applied Materials to operate smoothly and support our end customers. As G2P, we support stakeholders across the globe through Sourcing, Contracting, Category and Supplier Management, analytics, and transactional procurement. We influence spend across the following categories: IT Hardware, Software and Telecommunications, Consulting, Professional Services, Facilities, Real Estate, Equipment and Equipment Maintenance as well as Contingent Workforce.

The Business Intelligence Analyst directly supports our growth and evolution into a strategic business-aligned enablement function. About the Role
As the Business Intelligence Analyst for Global General Procurement (G2P) at Applied Materials, you will be part of the G2P Transformation Office and you will support many critical transformational programs across G2P's scope of duties.
- Execute on data and analytics initiatives specifically related, but not limited to Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Contracting, Supplier management, and project management/ tracking
- Support ongoing and new data set error checking and validation for ensured reporting accuracy and to unlock new data visibility for the team
- Play an active role in the transformation of Procurement Data Analytics program
- Influence G2P strategy by providing critical information to the team
- Support growing, expanding, and broadening the influence of the Procurement Analytics function
As the Business Intelligence Analyst for Global General Procurement (G2P) at Applied Materials, your immediate responsibilities will include: - Assess, refine, and grow data that is available to and leveraged by G2P organization
- Connect enterprise data in new ways that provide valuable insights to G2P and Applied Materials
- Influence key strategic decisions by providing important insights to a transforming organization
Ongoing Responsibilities
- Participates in the design, development and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. used to drive key business decisions.
- Works within controls to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality of all managerial and business intelligence reports, views, dashboards, and user data. Implements new business reports within the established reporting framework, policies and procedures. Trains and supports end users on accessing of reports.
- Analyzes and interprets data and business intelligence reports.
- Works with others in the development of data warehouses and other data sources to support managerial and business intelligence reporting needs.
- Works with business intelligence manager and other staff to assess various reporting needs. Analyzes reporting needs and requirements, assesses current reporting in the context of strategic goals and devise plans for delivering the most appropriate reporting solutions to users.
- Educates & trains user community on the potential uses of the business intelligence system
- Extracts financial, statistical and other data from various information systems and other sources.
- Designs and develops recurring and ad-hoc business intelligence solutions such as reports, cubes, and dashboards, using industry best practices for presentation, efficiency, and user friendliness. Designs reports to aid in the efficient assimilation of the data by users by engaging exception reporting,

Our ideal candidate will have
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, Master's Degree preferred
- Professional Experience: 1-4 Years
- Demonstrated success leveraging big data and visualization tools, especially SQL and Tableau.
- Experience with SAP system and reporting preferred.
- Experience with programming languages, especially Python and/or Java.
- Experience working with procurement stakeholders or within procurement-focused organizations preferred.
- Eagerness to embrace novel challenges and rapidly acquire new concepts and technologies in the realm of procurement analytics and data modeling.
- Strong initiative and drive, ability to work independently, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to collaborate and contribute to the team's success
- Meticulous attention to detail and a knack for working effectively with data.
- The ability to navigate complex global corporate environments.

U.S. Salary Range:
$72,000.00 - $99,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
