Game Data Analyst: WoTMA

We are looking for a Game Data Analyst with a proven passion and skills in working with developers and management to develop a deep and broad understanding of our players (e.g. how they play and how we can increase satisfaction).  You will analyze data and provide reports to assist on how to enhance and optimize enjoyment, engagement and overall efficiencies in all areas of gameplay and the player life cycle.

• Create analysis and visualizations based on specific game dev studio requirements.

• Interface with and support game teams to identify information requirements, analytical questions and hypotheses, data sources, business rules, desired outcomes and impacts.

• Work with studio Data Engineer and Game Engineering on data needs, telemetry and KPIs.

• Collaborate with regional offices and Global BI to support marketing analysis (funnel, campaigns).

• Other areas of data-driven reporting, analysis and investigations as they are required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or Analytics

• Track record of effective communication and presentation skills both in-person and remote

• Experience with a variety of database systems

• Excellent understanding of SQL and other query languages; experience with ETL tools is a plus

• Knowledge of statistical modeling and data mining; R and/or Python is a plus

• Experience with data discovery, visualization and dashboards

• Must be passionate and knowledgeable about current video games

• Hadoop experience

• Tableau experience
