What You'll DoIn this role, you’ll contribute to the design and implementation of exciting new Fortnite Battle Royale experiences. Whether creating new weapons, prototyping new gameplay abilities, tuning vehicles, implementing new game systems, or standing up entirely new game modes, you’ll be helping to shape the future of Fortnite and interactive entertainment at Epic.
In this role, you will- Participate in the ideation and brainstorming of new items for upcoming seasons of Fortnite Battle Royale.
- Investigate and fix bugs with features in a way that grows your overall knowledge of Fortnite design and technical implementation.
- Learn how to own items and features as a vision holder, creating documentation and owning the outcome.
- Work in the Unreal Engine to implement your designs in Blueprint in close collaboration with other designers, engineers, QA analysts, animators, VFX artists, sound artists, UI designers, and others.
- Attend playtests, provide feedback, and help identify practical solutions to problems.
- Passion for games with a basic breadth of game knowledge.
- Basic familiarity with scripting or programming in any context (i.e. Unreal/Blueprint projects, Unity/C#, Python, or any kind of visual node-based programming).
- Familiarity with Fortnite Battle Royale
- Solid communication skills and the ability to express ideas in a variety of ways (verbal, documents, diagrams, etc.).
- Someone who is passionate, solution-oriented and embodies the “get things done”.

This internship has a flexible start date in 2024. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
