Job Description

Arrow International, Inc. is the world’s largest provider of charitable and social gaming solutions, and we are looking for an in-house counsel to advise the Company on electronic gaming issues and work to advance the goals of our E-Gaming Division out of our Cleveland headquarters. The Gaming Counsel will report to the VP, General Counsel & Secretary of the Company and be responsible for the overall legal advice given to the E-Gaming Division on matters related primarily to our electronic pull tab machines and their use in the US, Canada and other countries and any future gaming business. The Gaming Counsel’s job description includes the following responsibilities, as determined by the General Counsel from time to time:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • At the direction of the General Counsel, oversee and manage the legal issues related to the Company’s E-Gaming Division.
  • Advise the E-Gaming Division on gaming laws and their applicability to our electronic pull tabs machines, game software and other electronics devices and services.
  • Review and negotiate contracts for the E-Gaming Division and our other related entities, including specifically distributor agreements, master lease agreements, placement agreements and forms.
  • Assist with M&A transactions, licensing, contracts, intellectual property and other matters related to the Company’s E-Gaming Division, as requested by the General Counsel from time to time.
  • Interface with our Compliance Team to ensure that the Company’s reporting obligations are met for all of our electronic gaming devices.
  • Assist with advice on gaming laws and regulatory matters for the Company.
  • Other assignments as directed by the General Counsel from time to time.

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the Ohio Bar or ability to become a member of the Ohio Bar within a reasonable period of time.
  • Requires at least 3 years of gaming industry experience, preferably in an in-house role.
  • Requires complete discretion and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competitive priorities and deadlines.
  • Requires the ability to think and work independently and creatively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management, including the executive team.
  • Ability to develop effective procedures and to implement procedures across multiple departments within the Company.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and report progress or concerns to the General Counsel in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in the office with limited direct supervision and respond promptly to all requests.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well in teams, sound legal judgment and strong work ethic required.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and DocuSign a plus.
  • Willing to work in-person out of our Cleveland, Ohio headquarters with some travel expected.
