Department Summary:

Simulation, Experimentation and Gaming - is seeking an Associate Gaming & Simulation Engineer. The Engineer is responsible for developing models and simulations and conducting experimentation and analysis for a variety of government sponsors in support of MITRE's FFRDC enterprise. In addition, the Engineer will leverage their experience in gaming technologies to enhance the user experience for human-in-the-loop simulations. The Engineer will report to a Simulation, Experimentation and Gaming Group Leaders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Advise project leads and sponsor on the proper use of M&S and gaming technologies for their needs
• Design experiments utilizing M&S to solve problems
• Develop models and simulations using existing frameworks
• Test and verify the functionality of models and simulations
• Execute the design of experiments
• Analyze the results of the experiments
• Report on the results to stakeholders
• Keeping current on gaming-related skill sets and latest industry trends
• This position will require overnight travel up to 10% of the time as well as some local travel.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, related field, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance
• Experience in using programming languages for M&S development, e.g. C++, Java, NetLogo, etc.
• Experience with one or more 3-D gaming engines (Unity, Unreal)
• Familiarity with one or more M&S frameworks
• Familiarity with one or more analysis packages

Preferred Qualifications:

• Secret Clearance
